It Shouldn’t Match. That’s the Point.

LUCY’S RULES

I’ve never believed that getting dressed is about making everything match.

In fact, if it’s all a little too perfect, I usually want to change something.

A leopard shoe with a graphic dress. Gold when silver might make more sense. A glamorous bag with something completely casual. Fur with denim. Ski pieces nowhere near a ski slope.

For me, personal style is in the tension between things that shouldn’t necessarily go together — but somehow do.

I’ve spent most of my life styling clothes, and the one thing I know is that rules can make you look well dressed. Breaking one or two is what makes you look like you.

My rule?

If you love it, wear it.
If it feels slightly unexpected, even better.
And never save the good stuff for the “right” occasion.

Because the best outfits aren’t the ones everyone understands.

They’re the ones they remember.
